NOTE: I fixed the images in my heroism post.
Well, 2020 sure sucked. Thankfully, it’s over now, and here’s to hoping for a better year.
Rather than talk about what I’m going to do, I’ll talk about what I have done.
Paid down credit card debt
For years, I had a massive amount of debt across two credit cards. I just spent and spent without a care in the world.
However, starting from late 2019, I made a commitment to pay it all off, and by mid-2020, I got it under control. There was a brief speed bump along the way, but by December, I had truly broken free of my debt. Now I enter this new year in far stronger financial shape than before. To keep this up, I must control my spending.
Drafted a new novel
Starting from mid-March (around the time the lockdowns hit), I drafted a “Raygun Romance” type of novel. It kicks realism to the wind in favor of a barely dressed babe getting abducted by mutants and witches in a far future, non-apocalyptic North America. It took two revisions to get this book right, and I can’t wait to show everyone once it’s ready.
I’ve also outlined a couple of different books completely, but I haven’t drafted them as yet, since I’m trying to focus on the Raygun Romance.
Here’s to hoping 2021 goes better than 2020.
Happy New Year!
Likewise. Happy New Year to you too!
Happy New Year, Mr. Nyanzi.
