Shining Tomorrow Character Files: Lord Avian

This is meant to briefly discuss a character from my upcoming novel, Shining Tomorrow. This is not needed to understand the story; it is only posted as a supplementary bonus.

The neurosurgeon Dr. Levin Joachim Shirer lives in the city of Highline with his wife Julia and his daughter Virginia. While all of them present a convincing façade of upper middle class respectability, a dark truth lies beneath.

We have reason to believe that Dr. Shirer and his family [REDACTED]. DNA samples [REDACTED] match up with similar samples acquired by the Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York police departments, ruling out the possibility [REDACTED]. We have solid evidence that his birth certificate is a forgery.

That being said, the following has been confirmed to be true: he lived in Brooklyn for a significant amount of time. He is a graduate of New York University’s neurosurgery program and moved to Highline because he was offered a job at the local hospital. He met his wife [REDACTED] in New York City, and had his daughter there as well. Neither he nor his family involve themselves in politics, though his daughter is enrolled in the Young Elegant Ladies of the West. Julia’s actual name is [REDACTED], and Virginia’s actual name is [REDACTED]. He has shown an interest in Christianity, but only as a curiosity. He has a small shrine to Aphrodite in his home, though he refers to her as [REDACTED] in private.

In his “Lord Avian” form, he is capable of speeds exceeding Mach 1, and his twin rotary guns contain tens of thousands of rounds. His tail holds over 100 missiles, which can be aimed with startling precision. Shooting at the tail will not detonate the missiles, as they are protected by a force field while mounted. Because of these capabilities, he is known as the “Human Fighter Jet” by the public, [REDACTED].

The presence of this man and his family merits closer observation. Even though he has not been involved in subversive activities, the implications of this situation are frightening. What we have discovered — [REDACTED] — is a possibly fatal challenge to our global hegemony. We must stay vigilant.
