As you all know, I have been writing a novel. Writing it has been both an enjoyable and frustrating experience, but one I have grown and learned from. However, I also said that I had something in mind regarding the Pulp Revival.
Well, Seagull Rising had it right: I have been writing my own pulps. Despite a rocky start, it has been going quite well, to the point where I have decided to delay the novel to get my pulps out and ready. I’m eager to show all of you my take on the format; I plan to do five pulps in all, and I’ve already completed one of them.
Therefore, I am putting out a call for beta readers, which will be open from October 28, 2016, 1:50 PM to October 29, 2016, 3:00 PM. (EDIT: Because I forgot to specify a time zone, I have extended the period of accepting beta read offers from now to October 30, 2016, 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time.)
Since the pulp is rather short (about 18K words), I need people who could commit to reading it within a week of receiving it. I am not expecting a full edit or a super-detailed critique; simply give me your overall impression of the story — was it good? Was it bad? Also, indicate if anything bored you or confused you.
If you’re interested in beta reading my first pulp, you may contact me here.
